Sponsorship Opportunities
Through RoleModel Software Craftsmanship Academy, the software craftsmanship community has a powerful opportunity to help discover and mold the craftsmen of tomorrow. Those who get involved will make a difference not only in these apprentices but in the future of the software industry.
Provide an internship
Apprentices who successfully complete the intense six-month academy will begin a one-year paid internship as the next step on their journey. RoleModel Software is committed to hire no more than two of them as interns from a single graduating class. If you run a software development shop that values craftsmanship and agile development principles, we invite you to provide an internship to one or more of our graduates. See our internship application. While it is free to apply, there is an acceptance fee to ensure serious commitment.
Provide a scholarship
You can choose to sponsor an apprentice by name (perhaps you want him to come work as an intern for you when he has completed the program) or by criteria (we’ll award your scholarship to the acceptable applicant we think best meets your criteria). You may elect to pay all or part of an apprentice’s cost with a minimum of $2000. Scholarship providers will have their logos featured on our website. See our expression of interest form.
Be an Academy Sponsor
If you believe in what RoleModel Software Craftsmanship Academy is doing and would like to provide financial support, you are welcome to become an academy sponsor. Your contribution will deducted evenly from each apprentice’s tuition. Sponsors will have their logos featured on our website. See our expression of interest form.
Provide a project
As part of their training, successful apprentices will spend three months working on a real world software project under the supervision and direction of one of RoleModel’s Core Team members and the oversight of the master craftsman. This could be one of RoleModel’s regular projects or it could be a special discounted project where apprentices are a major part of the team. If you have a small to medium-sized software project beginning and are interested in receiving RoleModel Software development services at a discounted rate and a slower pace as the apprentices are trained through the project. See our expression of interest form.
